Day Kimball Healthcare names Anne Diamond CEO

Putnam, Conn.-based Day Kimball Healthcare hired Anne Diamond to serve as president and CEO, effective in late August. She succeeds Bob Smanik, who resigned in November 2016.

Ms. Diamond is currently serves as CEO of UConn Health’s John Dempsey Hospital in Farmington, Conn. Previously, she was the hospital’s associate vice president of operations and COO. She came to UConn Health from Salem (Ore.) Health, where she served in numerous roles, including as vice president of service lines and operations.

Ms. Diamond is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and the American Health Lawyers Association. She serves on the Connecticut Hospital Association’s board of trustees and is chair of the association’ Statewide Asthma Initiative. She holds a JD from the Concord School of Law in Los Angeles.
