Cynthia Johnson selected as CNO of 2 HCA hospitals in Nevada

Sunrise Hospital & Medical Center and Sunrise Children’s Hospital in Las Vegas has appointed Cynthia Johnson, RN, chief nursing officer.

Ms. Johnson has served as interim CNO of the hospitals since April. Prior to that, she was CNO of Los Robles Regional Medical Center in Thousand Oaks, Calif., one of Sunrise Hospital’s partner hospitals. Both Sunrise facilities and Los Robles Regional are part of Henderson, Nev.-based HCA Far West Division.

She has previously served as CNO at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Mo., and at Menorah Medical Center in Overland, Kan.

Ms. Johnson is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and American Organization of Nurse Executives. She earned a master’s degree in health services management from Webster University in Kansas City.
