Capella Healthcare Names Dr. Erik Swensson CMO

Franklin, Tenn.-based Capella Healthcare has appointed Erik Swensson, MD, FACS, as CMO, according to a Capella news release.

Dr. Swensson is a vascular and general surgeon affiliated with Capella’s Willamette Valley Medical Center in McMinnville, Ore. The CMO position has been structured so Dr. Swensson will be able to continue practicing medicine while serving simultaneously in the corporate role.

As CMO, Dr. Swensson assumes senior leadership responsibility for facilitating the work of the 13-hospital system’s national physician leadership group, ensuring physician leaders from across the company are continuously involved in shaping the company’s vision and strategies.
