Cone Health taps senior leadership role

Angie Orth has been appointed senior vice president and chief of staff to the CEO at Greensboro, N.C.-based Cone Health.

In her new role, Ms. Orth will work with Cone Health President and CEO Mary Jo Cagle, MD, on leading special projects and strengthening relationships, according to a Jan. 27 health system news release.

Ms. Orth began her career at Cone Health as a part-time hospital cashier, the release said. She later served as an internal consultant at the system, senior vice president of operations for the system’s Greensboro market, and president of Annie Penn Hospital in Reidsville, N.C.

She also spent eight years at Asheboro, N.C.-based Randolph Health, where she served as COO and later as CEO, according to her LinkedIn profile.
