Cone Health taps pharmacy exec with prior Geisinger leadership

Kristen Kruszewski, PharmD, was named systemwide chief pharmacy officer for Greensboro, N.C.-based Cone Health.

In the role, Dr. Kruszewski will oversee pharmacy services across the system, including hospital-based services and Cone Health’s Community Pharmacy network, which sells medications directly to consumers, according to a Jan. 19 news release.

She recently led Cone Health’s pharmacy integration efforts with Risant Health, the nonprofit formed by Oakland, Calif.-based Kaiser Permanente. Risant acquired its first two health systems — Danville, Pa.-based Geisinger and Cone Health — in 2024.

Prior to her role at Risant, Dr. Kruszewski had served as director of pharmacy channel strategy and services consulting for Geisinger’s enterprise pharmacy team.
