Cone Health names new chief nurse executive: 4 things to know

Greensboro, N.C.-based Cone Health has named Kenneth Rempher, PhD, MSN, BSN, RN, executive vice president and chief nurse executive, effective Aug. 22.

Here are four things to know about Dr. Rempher.

1. He was previously CNO of the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics and University of Iowa Health Care, based in Iowa City.

2. Prior to joining the University of Iowa system in 2012, he held a variety of progressive nursing leadership roles including associate vice president for patient care services at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore.

3. Dr. Rempher earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, a master’s degree in nursing from the University of Maryland, a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Baltimore and a PhD from the University of Maryland.

4. Additionally, he is an associate dean and professor at the University of Iowa College of Nursing in Iowa City.
