Michelle Mahaffey, executive vice president and chief human resources officer at Indianapolis-based Community Health Network for the past six years, has announced she is stepping down from the role.

Ms. Mahaffey will be departing from the health system and Indianapolis, she wrote in a June 1 LinkedIn post. She was named interim CHRO in April 2020 and stepped into the permanent role in June 2020, according to her LinkedIn profile.

She described her time as the system’s CHRO as “one of the greatest honors” of her career.

“While I’m not quite ready to share what comes next, I’m excited for the opportunity ahead and look forward to sharing more soon,” she wrote in the post.

Before joining Community Health Network, Ms. Mahaffey was senior vice president and CHRO of Indianapolis-based Simon Property Group.

Community Health Network is a nonprofit system with more than 200 sites of care and affiliates in Central Indiana.
