Lilicia Bailey, PhD, was named senior executive vice president and chief people officer of Chicago-based CommonSpirit Health, effective Aug. 7.
Dr. Bailey brings more than two decades of human resources leadership experience to her role, according to a news release.
Most recently, she served as chief people officer of Atlanta-based Emory Healthcare.
"Our people are what bring our mission of caring to life every day in all of our care sites across the country," CommonSpirit Health CEO Wright Lassiter III said in the release. "I am confident that with Lilicia's extensive experience leading human resources teams and initiatives and her collaborative leadership style, she will ensure that our people can contribute and feel valued, driving better outcomes and experiences for those we serve in our communities."
CommonSpirit Health operates 138 hospitals and more than 2,200 care sites in 24 states.
