CommonSpirit Health hires system senior vice president to lead 2,400 advanced practice providers

Chicago-based CommonSpirit Health has named Barbara Martin, PhD, the health system’s senior vice president for advanced practice.

Dr. Martin will be responsible for leading a team of 2,400 advanced practice providers including nurse practitioners, physician assistants, clinical nurse specialists, certified registered nurse anesthetists and certified nurse midwives, according to a press release shared with Becker’s Aug. 31. 

Dr. Martin previously served as CommonSpirit’s director for advanced practice ambulatory care.
