Richard Becker, MD, has been appointed CEO of Aspen (Colo.) Valley Health, effective Jan. 26.
Dr. Becker brings nearly 30 years of healthcare leadership experience to the role, according to a Dec. 9 health system news release shared with Becker’s. He currently serves as system executive in residence at New Hyde Park, N.Y.-based Northwell Health.
His past roles include CEO of The Brooklyn Hospital Center in New York City, CEO of The George Washington University Hospital in Washington, D.C., and deputy secretary of health for New York State during part of the COVID-19 pandemic.
To support continuity, retiring CEO Dave Ressler will remain in the role through the leadership transition.
