Colorado hospital names new CEO

Arkansas Valley Regional Medical Center in La Junta, Colo., has named Ronald Hogan as CEO, effective Nov. 24.

Mr. Hogan served as interim CEO of the 25-bed critical access hospital for the past four months, according to a Dec. 9 news release from Plano, Texas-based Community Hospital Corp., which manages the hospital. He brings 30 years of healthcare leadership experience to the role.

Mr. Hogan will focus on driving performance improvement and long-term sustainability efforts at the hospital.

He succeeded Heidi Gearhart, who stepped in as interim CEO following the departure of Andy Flemer in May. Mr. Flemer led the hospital for three years.
