Coleen Santa Ana selected president of Sentara Obici Hospital

Norfolk, Va.-based Sentara Healthcare named Coleen Santa Ana president of Sentara Obici Hospital in Suffolk, Va., effective Sept. 16, according to a Suffolk News Herald report.

Ms. Santa Ana is currently president of Sentara Albemarle Medical Center in Elizabeth City, N.C., where she has led a financial and operational turnaround over the last five years. Prior to that, she was a senior strategist with Sentara Healthcare. She also has held executive leadership roles with health systems in Colorado and Nevada.

She holds a master’s degree in health administration from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond.

Ms. Santa Ana succeeds Steve Julian, MD, who has retired.

Amy Black, who has been serving as interim president of Sentara Obici, will return to Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital in Charlottesville, Va., as COO.
