Christus Health taps Debi Pasley as permanent CNO

Dallas-based Christus Health named Debi Pasley, RN, permanent system CNO. She has been serving in the role on an interim basis since August 2016.

Ms. Pasley has more than 20 years of experience in nursing leadership. In her new role, she will lead nursing activities across the Christus system, which includes more than 60 hospitals and long-term care facilities, 175 clinics and outpatient centers as well as medical practices operating in six U.S. states, Mexico, Chile and Colombia. She will focus on improving nurse retention and engagement as well as building an enhanced patient experience.  

“[Ms. Pasley] has a wide range of experience serving as chief nursing officer for small community hospitals as well as large metropolitan academic medical centers which considering the diversity of facilities with Christus Health makes her a wonderful fit,” said John A. Gillean, MD, executive vice president and chief clinical officer at Christus.
