LeRoi Hicks, MD, has departed from Wilmington, Del.-based ChristianaCare after 12 years to become executive vice president and CEO of the American College of Physicians.
Dr. Hicks most recently served as president of ChristianaCare Wilmington Hospital, he wrote in a June 11 LinkedIn post.
“I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to have served as Chair of Medicine and later as President of the Wilmington Campus, and for the many caregivers and colleagues who made those years both meaningful and rewarding,” he said.
Dr. Hicks will become CEO of the country’s largest medical specialty organization and the second-largest physician group on July 6, according to a March 23 news release from the organization.
