Christ Hospital names Scott Hamlin CFO: 4 things to know

The Christ Hospital Health Network in Cincinnati has named Scott Hamlin CFO, according to a Cincinnati Business Courier report.

Here are four things to know about Mr. Hamlin.

1. He was hired in May as senior vice president of finance and physician operations of Christ Hospital.

2. Previously, Mr. Hamlin was COO of Cincinnati Children's, where he was responsible for the day-to-day operations as well as strategic planning and execution of business strategies. Before that, he was CFO of the pediatric hospital.

3. In his new role, Mr. Hamlin replaces Chris Bergman, who had served as CFO for nearly seven years. At Christ Hospital, Mr. Bergman was directly responsible for financial reporting/accounting, data governance, reimbursement, payer relations, supply chain, patient financial services, admitting and registration, central scheduling and medical records and coding. Mr. Bergman left Christ Hospital in November and has been named CFO of Dayton (Ohio) Children's Hospital, which has multiple capital projects underway.

4. Mr. Hamlin earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Cincinnati. He later became a certified public accountant and worked as an auditor for Arthur Andersen & Co., according to the report.
