Children’s Nebraska names chief physician

Yatin Vyas, MD, will join Omaha-based Children’s Nebraska as executive vice president and chief physician executive in January.

He will be responsible for advancing clinical outcomes and oversee medical staff services, the children’s hospital said in a Nov. 6 news release. Dr. Vyas has led pediatric services and research at several academic medical centers. 

Most recently, he served as vice president and physician leader of the children’s care service line at Penn State Health in Hershey, Pa. He also served as pediatrician-in-chief at Penn State Health Children’s Hospital. 

Children’s Nebraska is the state’s only freestanding pediatric hospital.
