After serving as interim chief nursing officer of Children’s Hospital Los Angeles since July, the organization appointed Desiree Ritter, BSN, RN, as senior vice president of patient care services and CNO.
Ms. Ritter joined Children’s Hospital Los Angeles as a clinical nurse and during her tenure at CHLA, she created and launched the hospital’s COVID-19 screening process at the beginning of the pandemic, according to an Oct. 6 news release. Before serving as interim CNO, Ms. Ritter served as executive director and associate chief nursing officer of acute care and operations.
Children’s Hospital Los Angeles conducted a national search before naming Ms. Ritter to permanently fill the role.
