Children’s Hospital Association taps former hospital COO as president

Paul Haut, MD, former COO of Indianapolis-based Riley Children’s Health, will take over as president of the Children’s Hospital Association, effective Oct. 14.

As president of CHA, Dr. Haut will focus on education and programming, quality and patient safety, data analytics and finance, according to a Sept. 30 news release from the organization. The CHA represents more than 200 children’s hospitals.

Dr. Haut most recently served as an executive leadership coach, according to his LinkedIn profile. He was also a pediatrics professor at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis between 2002 and 2022 and served Riley Children’s Health as interim president, chief medical officer and COO.
