Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta names COO

Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta has named Scott Turner as COO, effective Aug. 4.

Mr. Turner brings more than 28 years of healthcare experience, including 18 years in pediatrics, according to an Aug. 14 news release. He most recently served as executive vice president, COO and president at Milwaukee-based Children’s Wisconsin, where he led the $385 million Milwaukee Campus improvement project in 2023.

He succeeds Ronald Frieson, who will retire at the end of 2026 after 17 years with Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.

Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta manages more than one million patient visits annually across three hospitals and several outpatient sites.
