Here are five things to know:
1. Mr. Bonar has worked at Children’s Minnesota for three years.
2. He serves on the Children’s Hospital Association’s board of trustees and as chair of the CHA Quality and Safety Committee.
3. He is steeping down around four months after the hospital settled a contract dispute with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota.
4. Marc Gorelick, MD, the hospital’s current president and COO, will step into the CEO role after Mr. Bonar’s retirement.
5. Dr. Gorelick joined Children’s Minnesota in January after serving as executive vice president and COO of Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin in Milwaukee.
