Dr. Woods will also serve as chairman of the pediatrics department at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine Chattanooga.
Most recently, Dr. Woods served as chairman of the pediatrics department at the University of Louisville (Ky.) School of Medicine. He is currently associate editor of The Journal of the Pediatric Infectious Diseases Society. He has authored or co-authored more than 110 journal articles and reviews.
Dr. Woods received the Kentucky Medical Association’s Educational Achievement Award in 2017. He is an American Academy of Pediatrics member and completed his pediatric infectious diseases fellowship at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston.
