CHI St. Luke’s appoints David Argueta CEO of 3 facilities

Houston-based CHI St. Luke’s Health System has named David Argueta, MBA, president and CEO for its Woodlands area facilities, including The Woodlands Hospital, Lakeside Hospital and the Springwoods Village Facility.

Mr. Argueta was initially named COO for The Woodlands Hospital before becoming the interim president in July. Prior to that, Mr. Argueta served as operations administrator for physician services and then vice president of operations at Baylor Scott & White in Waco, Texas.

“We are pleased to have David serve in this important role for CHI St. Luke’s,” Michael Covert, president and CEO of CHI St. Luke’s Health, said. “The Woodlands area is very important for the future growth of our system, and David has proven his leadership ability and commitment to our mission and core values. He will be an excellent permanent addition to our senior leadership team.”

Mr. Argueta earned his MBA in healthcare administration from the Robbins Institute for Health Policy and Leadership at Baylor University.
