Cheyenne Regional Health System names CEO: 5 notes

Cheyenne (Wyo.) Regional Health System appointed Timothy Thornell CEO, effective April 8.

Five notes:

1. Mr. Thornell is currently the CEO of Lea Regional Medical Center and Lea Regional Medical Group in Hobbs, N.M.

2. His prior experience includes serving as COO for regional medical centers in New Mexico and Washington.

3. He has also served as physician practice manager for clinics in a four-state region.

4. He is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and serves as a board member with the New Mexico Hospital Association.

5. Mr. Thornell succeeds Patrick Madigan, who will remain on staff during the transition.
