Charles Sorenson, MD. President and CEO of Intermountain Healthcare (Salt Lake City). Dr. Sorenson became president and CEO of Intermountain Healthcare in 2008, but he wasn’t new to the system at the time. From 1998 until his current appointment, he served as Intermountain’s executive vice president and COO. In addition, he helped form the Intermountain Medical Group, an integrated physician practice of roughly 1,300 physicians and advanced practice clinicians, and was the founding chair of group’s board from 1994 to 1998. Dr. Sorenson is a board-certified urologic surgeon who continues to practice and serves as an adjunct professor of surgery at Salt Lake City-based University of Utah
