Charles Button is Iowa-based Regional Medical Center’s new CEO: 4 things to know

Manchester, Iowa-based Regional Medical Center hired Charles Button to serve as CEO, effective Aug. 28.

Here are four things to know:

1. Mr. Button currently serves as CEO of Star Valley Medical Center in Afton, Wyo.

2. He was previously CEO at Dayton, Wash.-based Columbia County Health System.

3. He is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and the Healthcare Financial Management Association as well as a board member for the Wyoming Hospital Association.

4. Mr. Button replaces former CEO Lon Butikofer, who resigned in March. The hospital’s board of trustees discovered Mr. Butikofer had submitted “improper travel expense reimbursement.”
