Virginia’s Inova Fairfax Hospital Names COO

Inova Fairfax Hospital in Falls Church, Va., has named Patrick Christiansen, PhD, chief operating officer, according to a hospital news release.

Dr. Christiansen has worked with Inova Fairfax Hospital since 2007, first as administrator of Inova Heart and Vascular Institute and later as senior vice president. He has helped the hospital establish a highly successful cardiovascular program.

Prior to joining Inova, Dr. Christiansen served as vice president of operations at St. John’s Mercy Health Care in Creve Coeur, Mo., and as vice president at St. Edward’s Mercy Health Network in Fort Smith, Ark.
