Tennessee’s IASIS Healthcare Names COO

IASIS Healthcare in Franklin, Tenn., has named Phillip J. Mazzuca as COO, according to a health system news release.

Mr. Mazzuca formerly served as division president of IASIS. He brings to the role nearly 30 years of hospital and healthcare leadership experience, having served most recently as president and CEO of Brim Holdings, which operates two hospitals in Texas and Colorado. He also served as executive vice president and COO of Charlotte, N.C.-based MedCath Corp., where he oversaw company operations.

Mr. Mazzuca succeeds long-time IASIS COO Sandra McRee, who will continue on the health system’s board of directors as non-executive vice chair.
