CEO of Kentucky’s St. Elizabeth Healthcare to Retire

Joseph W. Gross, president & CEO of St. Elizabeth Healthcare, based in Edgewood, Ky., has announced he will retire at the end of the year, according to a news release by the health system.

Mr. Gross has led the system for 25 years, and under his leadership, the system has emerged from a modest community-based hospital into a thriving six-hospital healthcare system. In 2008, Mr. Gross oversaw the merger of St. Elizabeth Medical Center and St. Luke Hospitals to form St. Elizabeth Healthcare.

Mr. Gross will be replaced by John S. Dubis, current COO of St. Elizabeth.
