Andrew Wilson was appointed CEO of Texoma Medical Center in Denison, Texas, part of King of Prussia, Pa.-based Universal Health Services.
Mr. Wilson joins Texoma Medical Center from Doctors Hospital of Laredo (Texas), another UHS facility, where he served as CEO.
During his tenure in Laredo, he oversaw the launch of a 24/7 neurosurgery program, secured approval for a neuro-interventional suite and led physician recruitment efforts in various specialties, including urology and trauma surgery, according to a July 6 hospital news release.
Mr. Wilson joined UHS in 2017 as associate administrator at Doctors Hospital of Laredo. He later served as CEO of Cornerstone Regional Hospital in Edinburg, Texas, and as COO and interim CEO of South Texas Health System McAllen before returning to Laredo as CEO.
Texoma Medical Center includes its flagship hospital in Denison and other locations throughout the Texoma region. The health system employs more than 3,000 people and has more than 550 physicians on staff, according to its website.
