Saint Louis University Hospital Names Phillip Sowa as CEO

Saint Louis University Hospital has named Phillip Sowa as CEO, according to a St. Louis Business Journal report.

Mr. Sowa began his duties with SLUH, a Tenet Healthcare hospital, last week. He replaces Crystal Haynes, who resigned last month.

Mr. Sowa has served as CEO at other hospitals in the past, including Park Plaza Hospital in Houston and Tenet’s Meadowcrest Hospital in Gretna, La., where he aided reconstruction efforts after Hurricane Katrina.

Mr. Sowa earned his master’s degree in hospital and healthcare administration from SLU.
