CEO Steven Goldstein: Active Leader in the Rochester, N.Y. Hospital Market

Steven Goldstein, CEO of Strong Memorial Hospital and Highland Hospital, both in Rochester, N.Y., holds a lot of responsibility in the Rochester hospital market, and he has been duly recognized by his peers for his insight.

Steven Goldstein is CEO of Strong Memorial Hospital.In 2009, Mr. Goldstein became part of the American Hospital Association‘s 27-member board of trustees and was the only CEO of a New York state hospital to serve on the board. When the country was shaping healthcare reform, Mr. Goldstein and others were tasked with detailing efforts hospitals could undertake to achieve savings in the healthcare delivery system.

Mr. Goldstein also serves as vice president for the University of Rochester (N.Y.) Medical Center and is president of URMC’s long-term care division.

Prior to joining Strong Memorial Hospital, he had various executive leadership roles at The Children’s Medical Center in Dayton, Ohio, the University of Nebraska Hospitals and Clinics in Omaha and the Nebraska Psychiatric Institute.
