1. Mr. Sims previously worked with Baptist Health in Jacksonville, Fla., where he most recently served as president of physician integration.
2. He also served as president of a community hospital and vice president of operations at a tertiary care facility within the Baptist Health system.
3. Prior to joining Baptist Health, he served in strategy, business development and operations roles with Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare.
4. The Mountains and North Denver Operating Group, which Mr. Sims will oversee, includes five Colorado-based hospitals as well as neighborhood health centers, emergency and urgent care centers, outpatient surgery centers and physician practices.
5. Mr. Sims holds a master of business administration degree with a concentration in health sector management from Durham, N.C.-based Duke University.
