Cedars-Sinai taps executive to helm tech transfer initiatives

Los Angeles-based Cedars-Sinai has promoted James Laur to chief executive of intellectual property and health ventures.

Mr. Laur will oversee Cedars-Sinai’s Intellectual Property Company, a newly created entity, according to a March 7 LinkedIn post from Mr. Laur. 

In this role, he will be responsible for the institution’s technology transfer- and intellectual property-related initiatives. He will also retain his role as managing director of Cedars-Sinai Health Ventures, the venture capital arm of the health system.
