Catholic Health Association of the United States names Sister Carol Keehan’s successor

The Catholic Health Association of the United States has selected Sister Mary Haddad to serve as its 10th president and CEO.

Sister Mary succeeds Sister Carol Keehan, who is retiring effective June 30, ending a 14-year tenure.

Sister Mary, a sister of Mercy of the South Central Community, is currently vice president of sponsorship and mission services for the Catholic Health Association. She joined the association in 2009, prior to which she was an administrative fellow at St. Anthony’s Health System in Alton, Ill. She also served on the regional leadership team of the Sisters of Mercy, St. Louis.

Sister Mary is a member of the Honor Society of Jesuit Institutions of Higher Education and a member of the Christus Health Mission Committee. She earned an MBA in healthcare from University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minn., and a master’s degree in social work from St.
Louis University.
