CarePoint Health taps former Optum exec as CEO

Jersey City, N.J.-based CarePoint Health, a three-hospital system, hired Natasha Deckmann, MD, to serve as CEO.

Dr. Deckmann comes to CarePoint from Optum, a UnitedHealth Group subsidiary, where she served in numerous leadership roles. She served as head of population health solutions as well as COO of the Consumer Solutions Group at Optum Health.

Dr. Deckmann previously worked at Marsh, an insurance broking and risk management firm, where she served COO of the international division among other positions.

Dr. Deckmann earned her MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a medical degree from the Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University, both in Chicago.
