Care New England taps chief philanthropy officer

Providence, R.I.-based Care New England has appointed Jeffrey Cabral chief philanthropy officer.

Mr. Cabral aims to transform Care New England’s development program and foster a thriving philanthropic culture. He will develop a comprehensive fundraising plan, including the establishment of a grateful patient program and an annual giving initiative to support system-wide priorities. 

He most recently served as vice president of development at the University of Rhode Island Foundation, where he led a $300 million campaign and provided guidance to development officers across multiple sectors. 

Mr. Cabral previously served as senior director of development for the New York Program & Brown Arts Initiative at Brown University, where he led fundraising efforts and managed a $256 million arts fundraising campaign.
