Care New England Announces Executive Appointments

Providence, R.I.-based Care New England has made four new executive appointments, all of which are effective July 1.

Sandra Coletta will serve as COO of the health system. Ms. Coletta, who also serves as president and CEO of Kent Hospital in Warwick, R.I., has been serving as COO on a part-time basis since 2012.

Michael Dacey, MD, has been named president and COO of Kent Hospital. Dr. Dacey most recently served as chief clinical integration officer of Care New England. Dr. Dacey is board-certified in critical care medicine.

Edward Schottland has been appointed president and COO of Memorial Hospital of Rhode Island in Providence. Mr. Schottland has been serving as acting president since last September.

Lawrence Price, MD, has been selected as acting president and COO of Butler Hospital in Providence. He will also assume leadership of the Care New England Brain and Behavioral Health Council. Dr. Price has been serving as senior vice president and CMO of Butler since November 2013.
