Capital BlueCross names CIO

Scott Frank, former executive director of information technology for Aetna/Conventry Health Care in Pittsburgh, has been named CIO for Capital BlueCross in Harrisburg, Pa.

In addition to his experience with Aetna/Coventry Health Care, Mr. Frank served as assistant director of information systems at East Liverpool (Ohio) City Hospital and senior information technology leader at Heritage Valley Health System in Beaver, Pa.

“As technology advances, Capital BlueCross is constantly evolving to bring the best and most user-friendly products and services to our customers,” Mark Caron, executive vice president business platforms and solutions for Capital BlueCross, said in a news release. “The knowledge and expertise that Scott brings to the table will be a tremendous asset in helping us to implement industry best practices and stay ahead of the curve. With his leadership, we will continue to drive our technology platform forward, which is a critical component of delivering an exceptional customer experience.”
