Mr. Rubin currently serves as COO at UCLA Health System in Los Angeles. He will succeed Martha Marsh, who retired from the position in Sept. 2010 after serving for eight years.
Mr. Rubin joined 2005 and previously served as COO of Stony Brook University Hospital. He began his career in healthcare consulting and was based in the San Francisco area for several years.
Stanford Hospital is currently designing a new $2 billion inpatient facility to be built adjacent to the existing hospital.
