The hospital’s board of directors announced Mr. Stewart’s departure Saturday and did not release reasons for the move. Mr. Stewart served as CEO of the 189-bed hospital since June 2006. He was also interim CEO for approximately a year before being named to the permanent position.

Richard Reid, the hospital’s CFO, will serve as interim CEO. The board is beginning a comprehensive search for a permanent CEO.
