Mr. Garrett has served for St. Joseph Health System for the past 20 years, most recently as executive vice president and COO of St. Joseph Hospital in Orange, Calif.
He succeeds Jason Barker, who left late last year to become CEO of Billings, Mont.-based St. Vincent Healthcare.
