California system taps CEO for 2 hospitals

Danielle Gabele, DNP, RN, has been named CEO of Ventura (Calif.) County Medical Center and Santa Paula (Calif.) Hospital.

Dr. Gabele most recently served as chief nurse executive for the hospitals, according to a May 6 news release from Ventura County Health Care Agency. She stepped into that role in September 2022, according to her LinkedIn profile.

Before joining the system, she was chief nursing officer of Cedars-Sinai Marina Hospital in Marina del Rey, Calif., the release said. She began her career as an intensive care unit nurse at Cedars-Sinai in Los Angeles and spent about 15 years advancing through hospital management and operations leadership roles.
