Christian Wallis has been appointed interim CEO of the Northern Inyo Healthcare District, which operates a 25-bed critical access hospital in Bishop, Calif.
Mr. Wallis brings more than three decades of healthcare leadership experience, most recently serving as CEO of Grossmont Healthcare District in La Mesa, Calif., according to a May 2 news release from Northern Inyo.
The Grossmont Healthcare District board voted 4-1 on March 4 not to extend Mr. Wallis’ employment agreement beyond its current term, which expires May 17.
Allison Partidge, MSN, RN, Northern Inyo’s chief nursing officer and COO, has served as acting CEO since the resignation of Stephen DelRossi. Mr. DelRossi, who had been CEO since November 2023, stepped down March 25 “to take some time to focus on his family.”
Mr. Wallis will serve in the interim role through the summer while the board searches for a permanent CEO.
