California hospital names new chief information and technology officer

Kevin Shorten has been named vice president and chief information and technology officer of Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital, based in Santa Clarita, Calif.

In this role, Mr. Shorten will oversee digital and information technology strategy and operations, according to an April 30 news release.

Previously, he served as vice president of applications and information services at Alameda Health System in Oakland, Calif.
