Sonoma (Calif.) Valley Hospital has named Patrick I. Okolo III, MD, chief medical officer.
As CMO, Dr. Okolo will oversee physician leadership and quality improvement. He will also play a strategic role in deepening the hospital’s collaboration with UCSF in San Francisco, according to an Oct. 8 news release from the hospital.
Dr. Okolo joins Sonoma Valley Hospital from Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine in Roanoke, where he served as chief of gastroenterology. He is also the former chief of endoscopy at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore.
