1. Dr. Walsh, a rheumatologist, has led the hospital in her current role for 22 years.
2. During her time at the helm of the hospital, she was instrumental in forging a partnership between Burke, Montefiore Medical Center and Albert Einstein College of Medicine, both located in New York City.
3. She is a member of the American Hospital Association’s board of trustees and is a director of the American Medical Rehabilitation Providers Association.
4. In 2013, she earned a Lifetime Achievement Award from the New York Chapter of the Arthritis Foundation.
5. Montefiore Health System’s Senior Vice President for Network Development Jeffrey Menkes will replace Dr. Walsh.
