Here are four notes:
1. Mr. Brewer comes to Bryan W. Whitefield Memorial from Citizens Baptist Medical Center in Talladega, Ala., where he serves as CEO.
2. He also previously worked at Brookwood Baptist Medical Center in Birmingham, Ala., and Wellstar Atlanta Medical Center.
3. University of Alabama at Birmingham Health System will officially employ Mr. Brewer. UAB will lease him to Bryan W. Whitefield Memorial per a management and affiliation agreement between the two entities made effective in October 2017.
4. Mr. Brewer succeeds Arthur Evans, who is retiring June 30.
