Brent E. Christopher to lead Children’s Medical Center Foundation: 5 things to know

Brent E. Christopher has been named president of Children’s Medical Center Foundation, the fundraising arm of Dallas-based Children’s Health.

Here are five things to know about Mr. Christopher.

1. He will take over for current president Kern Wildenthal, MD, PhD, who is retiring.

2. Mr. Christopher returns to Children’s Medical Center Foundation where he previously was director of development from 2002 to 2005.

3. Most recently, he has served as president and CEO of Communities Foundation of Texas.

4. During his tenure with CFT, Mr. Christopher substantially increased the community foundation’s scale and effectiveness with assets growing from $647 million to a record-high $1.1 billion, making it one of the largest of nearly 800 such foundations in the U.S., according to a news release.

5. He is slated to start his new job in July.
