Richard Sugarman, JD, was appointed chief legal officer for Manchester, N.H.-based Elliot Health System, effective Aug. 3.
Mr. Sugarman will begin the new role after serving as vice president and deputy general counsel with Boston Medical Center Health System, according to a June 26 health system news release.
His previous legal experience also includes serving as a judge advocate officer in the U.S. Army Reserve, ultimately at the rank of colonel.
Elliot Health System includes Elliot Hospital, a 296-bed acute care facility in Manchester.
