Bon Secours St. Francis Hospital appoints Stephen Porter CEO: 4 things to know

Charleston, S.C.-based Bon Secours St. Francis Hospital selected Stephen Porter to serve as CEO, effective July 10.

Here are four things to know:

1. Mr. Porter most recently served as corporate vice president of the northern Virginia region at Norfolk, Va.-based Sentara Healthcare as well as president of Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center in Woodbridge, Va.

2. He worked within the Sentara family for 18 years.

3. He holds a master’s degree in healthcare administration from the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond.

4. He succeeds Allen Carroll, who retired in May.
